Within the framework of the wintry exhibition of the Palais des Arts et du Festival " The big North seen by the cinema ":
Far North Asif Kapadia's projection (Winner of the Hitchcock d'Or in Dinard for The Warrior) in the cinema 2 Alizées at 5:45 pm.

Saiva, a brave woman, and Anja, her foster daughter, live in isolated lands of any civilization where they estimate to be safe. Saiva is the only survivor of the massacre of natives' tribe breeders of reindeers, by a troop of "pacificatory" soldiers. Saiva and Anja fights for surviving, feeding on rare preys which they parviennet to catch.
One day, in the middle of this rough and sorry beauty, an exhausted man appears to the horizon. In spite of its fear and its doubts, Saiva takes in this man. It is Loki, a deserter. Loki recovers slowly, between these two women, while the snow already announces a long and dark winter. But, very fast, Saiva and Anja begins to quarrel his.

" The special effects and the other scenic curiosities " in "La Maison des Jeunes" club at 7 pm.
The term of special effects significates all the techniques used to create the illusion of actions and feign objects, characters or phenomena which do not exist in the reality or which could not be filmed at the shooting.

This conference will have for objective to familiarize the spectator with these various processes.

" The Musical " at 6:30 pm to the Palace of the Arts and the Festival.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The musical is a new film kind appeared at the beginning of the 30s and which brought of the dream to the American people shaken by the crisis.
The main theme of the musical has for a long time étél' apology of the success: of the success loving as the success on stage. Year 1960 with West Side Story, tragedy inspired by Roméo and Juliette but also social fresco of ethnic districts, marks a decisive bend.
Henceforth, the musical will be often tragic and will follow the steps of daily characters.

This sequence, extracted in the support, will question this kind and will show its importance in the history of the cinema.

" The eroticism in the cinema: voyeurism or plot necessity? " At 6:30 pm in the cinema Stephan Bouttet.
The history of the erotic cinema cannot amount to the history of the passage of the suggestion of the sexual act in its not feigned representation.
By pointing desire more than the act, films give its real sense to the erotic cinema.
